18 July 2008: Cut hay on the Pierson Ranch last week.  All rolled and put up.  Bottom really looks good, all cut and greening up nicely.

23 July 2008: Web site is now up, and so are the summer temps!  Ranch look beautiful, new babys are growing well.  Mama cows are putting shade trees to good use.

27 July 2008: We ended the winter feeding season with over 1,000 large round bales of surplus hay.  So far this year, we have cut over 400 new bales.

29 July 2008: Current cattle inventory; 236 cow calf pairs, 21 dry cows, (all w/bulls).  27 open heifers, 18 bred heifers, 17 older bulls, 3 young bulls, 18 weined heifers & steers.  Total head : 576.  With average weather conditions, we believe the ranch will support 500 cows & bulls without affecting hay farming.

5 Aug 2008: For an average year, with fertilizer application, hay yield from the ranch is approximately 1500 large, round bales weighing 1,500~1,700 lbs each.

1 Sep 2008: The first half of August was fairly typical, hot and no rain.  All that changed for the second half, with Oklahoma receiving lots of moisture....... enough to set a record for August!  Pastures are freen, grass it tall and ponds are full.  Great new for a cattle ranch.

5 Sep 2008 Sale update: Response has been excellent.  It's always nice to hear prospective buyers make flattering comments about the condition of the ranch, cattle quality and the impressive beauty.  We always thought so, but there's nothing like hearing it unsolicited from someone else.  Thanks to you all!
